Day 2.
2 Peter 2:18-19a For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of the flesh, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity.
Those who are caught in sins of sensual passion are in bondage. Many think they are free, but scripture makes it clear that they are in fact slaves.
Our Father in heaven, give us eyes to see that sexual immorality and sensualism is bondage. (Take time to pray for those God brings to mind, yourself, friends and family, colleagues, political, business or entertainment leaders, asking that God would give eyes to see the bondage of sensualism.)
Help me to shine your light, with truth and love, on the bondage of sensual sin.
